Alex
Davis is a
composer living in Asheville NC, where he actively writes
for film, television, and dance productions from across the
country. His work has been featured in concert at New York
University, Lincoln Center, NC School of the Arts, Florida
State University, and on numerous television productions,
including the Sundance Channel, History Channel, and ESPN.
He has created scores for more than 50 shorts, and played a
major role as a collaborator/writer for the Cartoon
Network’s CLASS of 3000. Alex served as an arranger
for the indie films BAM BAM AND CELESTE and DROP BACK TEN.
He also runs a professional recording studio at the Florida
State University College of Visual Arts, Theatre, and
Dance, where he creates original compositions for students,
faculty, and visiting artists.
In his spare time, Alex loves to take his road bike for a
spin, and even enjoys the occasional trail run. His
favorite distraction, however, involves the beautiful
widescreen TV mounted on his living room wall. He spends an
astonishing amount of time in front of this screen,
watching movies, television shows, and playing Wii (all of
this in surround sound, of course). It is worth noting that
Alex is considered by many to be the best Wii Sports player
alive today.
